A battle in between two guys ended with one of them fatally shot and the other arrested on a murder charge early Saturday, Dallas authorities said.

Officers were dispatched to a business in the 3700 block of West Northwest Highway, near Lemmon Opportunity, about 1:40 a.m. They found Jose D. Alcacio Rubio, 26, on the ground with gunshot wounds. Dallas Fire-Rescue declared him dead at the scene.

Witnesses said Rubio and another guy, Hector Manuel Ledezma, had been fighting. Ledezma wound up shooting Rubio, then ran away, witnesses said.

Ledezma was found at another service nearby. After admitting to murder investigators that he had killed Rubio, authorities said, he was arrested on a charge of murder and required to the Dallas County Prison.

No bail information was readily available early Saturday afternoon.
