A search is underway for the chauffeur who ranged from a traffic stop associated to a homicide examination and later crashed into multiple authorities and fire cars in Dallas Friday afternoon, authorities say.
According to authorities, officers were called to an apartment building where someone was supposedly shooting into an apartment or condo Friday afternoon.
Dallas police officers got in the house where someone was thought to be injured and found one departed person within.
Elsewhere, officers identified a person matching the description of the shooter and attempted a traffic stop. The chauffeur attempted to evade officers and at about 6 p.m. crashed into authorities and fire cars along the 2700 block of Elsie Faye Heggins Street. The chauffeur then left the car and was last seen facing a close-by area.
From Texas Sky Ranger, police officers were seen browsing an area near the crash scene with K-9 officers.
Dallas Fire-Rescue stated the fire truck was addressing another call at the scene which no firefighters were onboard the engine when it was struck.
Police have not validated a motive in the shooting and have not determined the victim. They have also not determined any suspects in the shooting.
